The Department of Commerce will be holding an event with Human Resources representatives and other Hispanic stakeholders on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 to discuss Hispanic within the agency. Sarita Brown, presdient of Excelencia in Education, will participate as a speaker.
In addition to Sarita Brown's presentation, the Office of Personnel Management will be giving a presentation on the newly established Student Pathways. A new set of Federal programs that will aid in streamlining the hiring process of much needed young Hispanic talent. The Director of the Policy and Evaluation Division of the Office of Civil Rights at the DOC, Jorge Ponce, will also give a brief presentation about Hispanic representation in the DOC, titled "Hispanics by the Numbers."
A Q&A session will follow OPM's and Excelencia's presentations.
