Since 2005, Excelencia in Education has recognized programs that use evidence based practices to accelerate Latino student success in higher education at the national level. In 2017 we received over 160 program nominations from 25 states, DC and Puerto Rico.

A selection committee of national experts is tasked with the difficult job of selecting one program in each category as Examples of Excelencia. We will announce the four Examples of Excelencia on October 5, 2017 at Celebración de Excelencia in Washington, DC.
