The Initiative

Given current educational attainment levels for Latinos, demands for economic competitiveness, and projected Latino demographic growth in the United States, increasing American college degree attainment is vitally important. To meet this challenge Excelencia in Education has taken the leadership in shaping a policy strategy focused on young adults generally, and Latino students specifically, with measures, tactics, and strategies that will expand and replicate effective policies and practices.

The initiative, Ensuring America's Future by Increasing Latino College Completion is supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and led by Excelencia in Education to bring the role of Latinos in increasing the country's college degree completion to the forefront with work in three tracks: information, engagement, and sustainability.
