Responding to a national need for nurses, the BNFP enrolls students by cohorts in an innovative curriculum and system of support services which guides students through the nursing program in three years. BNFP enrollment is 97% Latino and 90% of the graduates practice their profession in local area hospitals. BNFP offers its students the means to become effective nurses who can meet the needs of the Latino community.

Latino students comprise 35% of Woodbury University’s enrollment. In the School of Architecture, however, Hispanic enrollment is greater than 40%, in part because the program’s mission, curricular focus, and support systems are matched to the needs of the Latino population. Focused on providing a global academic experience, the BArch uses a curriculum that helps students participate in international study programs in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Students earn academic credit to work closely with a graduate student mentor and faculty supervisor to create an internship experience aimed at exploring their chosen field of study. Encouraged to tap personal passions and commitment to community, Latino students make up the largest group of interns in the program, more than half of whom subsequently enroll in graduate school.
