• The number of HSIs is increasing.
• There are now 600 HSIs.
• HSIs are located in 28 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
• Over two-thirds of HSIs are public institutions and the majority of HSIs are 4-year institutions.
• HSIs enroll two-thirds of all Latino undergraduates.
• 37 out of 39 Seal of Excelencia certified institutions are now HSIs.
